Have a great story to tell? Story Forms allow you to share your experiences, memories, or insights. Once you submit your story, our system can even use AI to help craft it into a polished article that may be featured on the site!
How to Find and Fill Out a Story Form
Access Your Profile: Log in to your account and navigate to your profile. Then click "Edit Profile"
Locate Story Forms: If your organization has created some forms, you will see tabs for each form.
Start Your Form: Click on the Story Form you wish to complete.
Fill in the Details:
Read each question carefully.
Enter your answers in the provided fields. Some fields might require text input, others might be multiple-choice (like radio buttons), and some may ask you to upload photos.
Required Fields: Look for any fields marked as "required" β you must complete these before you can submit the form.
Review Your Answers: Before submitting, take a moment to review all your responses to ensure they are accurate and complete.
Submit Your Story: Once you're satisfied, click the Submit button.
After You Submit: Featuring Your Story
After submitting your story, you have options for how it's displayed and whether it can be used for an AI-generated article.
Show on Profile: You can choose to have your answers displayed directly on your profile. All other users of the system will be able to see your answers.
Allow Your Story to be Featured: This is an exciting option that allows our system to use AI to help write an article based on your submission.
To enable this, make sure the option "Allow your story to be featured on the site" is selected.
Click Update to save this preference.
A confirmation message will appear, explaining that "A featured story will be created with the assistance from AI. Using your answers, it will be reviewed by an admin and may be chosen for publication."
Confirm by clicking Yes, Create that story.
What Happens Next?
Once you choose to "Feature your story":
AI Article Generation: Our system will use your answers to automatically generate a draft article. This process involves creating text, incorporating any photos you uploaded, and structuring the content for readability.
Admin Review: Your AI-generated story will then be reviewed by an administrator. They will ensure the content is polished and appropriate for publication.
Potential Publication: If approved by an admin, your story may be chosen for publication on the site (e.g., in a "News" section). Note that your organization may receive a lot of submissions and won't be able to choose all of them.
Please note: The AI-generated article is a draft. An administrator will always review it before it can be published. You won't be able to edit the AI-generated article directly, but the admins have the ability to refine and regenerate it if needed.
